Fiber can prevent constipation
Fiber in the diet can help a person from preventing constipation. This is because of the bulk that the fiber gives to the food that is eaten. The bulk in the fibre rich food prevents the loss of water from the body. This helps to increase the water content of stools. So indirectly fiber helps in preventing constipation.
